Build version: v2.18.7The Deeper Current is one of the nodes in your insight map. It helps you see how the different parts of one check-in fit together. For example, it might connect a difficult feeling, what you want underneath it, and something that makes movement feel hard.
It doesn't claim that the same theme has appeared throughout your life or across other entries. Habit tracks recurring topics separately as patterns.
When you finish a check-in and choose the insight that resonates, Habit looks at that insight together with all of your answers. It identifies two or three concrete details that play different roles in the reflection, then explains the smallest relationship among them that the check-in supports.
It won't add a motive, fear, history, diagnosis, or recurring pattern that you didn't mention. The goal is to make your own reflection easier to see, not to make it sound more psychologically dramatic.
Your insight is the concise observation you chose at the end of the check-in. The Deeper Current takes one more step: it explains how parts of that reflection work together.
Your Ground Truth, the short first-person reminder on your map, is then derived from the Deeper Current. It carries the central principle forward in a sentence you can return to.
A current is movement below the surface. Here, that's a metaphor for the relationship underneath the first, most obvious reading of your answers. It isn't a diagnosis or a statement about who you are.
Treat it as a reflection to consider. You decide whether it rings true. If it doesn't, you can leave it there. The map stays with the entry in your Library, so you can also return to it later and see whether it reads differently with time.
