The small step is one tiny, illustrated practice suggested at the end of a check-in — usually somatic: a breath, a posture shift, or a small movement you can do right now.

Build version: v2.18.7The small step is one node on your insight map. After you finish a check-in, it offers a single tiny practice you can do right now, shown as a small illustrated card. Nothing to plan, nothing to write. Just one small action.
Most small steps are somatic, meaning they work through the body rather than through more thinking. Each suggestion comes with a short instruction, a small illustration of the movement, and one line on why it helps. A few examples of what you might see:
This is deliberate. Insight alone rarely changes how you feel. Your body responds quickly to breath, posture, and movement. A small physical shift can settle your nervous system faster than another minute of analysis. The small step turns what you noticed in your check-in into something you can actually feel.
Small steps are drawn from a small, curated set of grounding practices — not generated on the fly. Each one is picked to fit what came up in your check-in, and every one is gentle enough to do in under a minute, wherever you are. If a suggestion ever feels like a chore, skip it. The point is not self-improvement. It is a quick reset.
If you tap to commit to a small step, it is saved with your entry and shows up in the Small Steps tab of your Library. Over time you can look back and see which practices you actually reached for.
If you skip it, nothing is saved and nothing is lost. You will get a fresh suggestion with your next check-in.
